CATIE present at the INCOCOA International Conference
- The conference brought together researchers from all latitudes to offer their contributions to the cocoa scientific community.
December 21, 2021. CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center) participated in the INCOCOA international conference, which arose with the objective of providing an opportunity for the cocoa research community to share their views on the challenges currently facing production and some of the initiatives underway to address them.
Felipe Peguero, agricultural economics specialist at the Coffee and Cocoa Agro-forestry and Genetic Improvement Unit, presented his paper "Renovation and rehabilitation programs in Cocoa Agro-forestry Systems: A financial optimization approach", available in the following video.
INCOCOA offers different spaces to promote the exchange of ideas and information among cocoa scientists and others interested in various areas of cocoa science, including agro-forestry, pests and diseases, genetics and breeding, soil management, quality and knowledge transfer, as well as economic sciences.
